Refer to the exhibit. Which value will be configured for Default Gateway of the Local Area Connection?

A.10.0.0.0
B.10.0.0.254
C.192.223.129.0
D.192.223.129.254

The answer is B. The IP address has to be in the same network with the configured host's IP address and not is the network or broadcast address.

Which command is used to see the path taken by packets across an IP network?

A. show ip route
B. show route
C. traceroute
D. trace ip route

The following answers are incorrect, here are the reasons why;

show ip route- Is used for when you need to know the current state of the routing table.

show route- This is no command, the closest command in terms of similar usage of the words is "show route-map" but that is an actual command and has no other similarity besides the name being close.

trace ip route- This is no command either.

The correct answer was traceroute. The definition is already in the question.

Why is it important to have a CTE Expo?

Having a CTE Expo means a lot. It helps newcomers or people that are going to consider joining Cisco understand the basics of what Cisco will be. The strong bond between newcomers and people that are nearly done just impressed me on the friday of february on the 8th of 2013. People communicated with each other very well. I myself also had some small bondings with the students that had some troubles understanding what Cisco would have for them.

My expectations for the CTE Expo went far better than expected. I had thoughts of stuttering and getting nervous in front of teachers but as time flied, the interviews were short and the questions asked were fairly easy. I saw some familiar faces and had some fun getting to give small lectures about Cisco. If there were another CTE Expo, I wouldn't really do anything different except for improvising on my work. My team's project was not complete and had to be slightly rushed due to short time. We only had 3-4 days to do so.

In a CTE Expo, I would've liked it if there were more space and all the other subjects stayed in one place. Perhaps a bigger room next time. It would help keep everyone organized and satisfied. That way all students may be able to go in at once and the Expo can be held longer.  I don't know about the others, but overall, I enjoyed my time at the CTE Expo last Friday. I am looking forward to the next one and hopefully it will be better.

Reflection of Diagnostic Test

After taking an exam today in Cisco, I am barely satisfied with the grade I received. I didn't understand some questions of course. With my result of a 43%(53/127), I can review my mistakes and learn from them as well. Luckily this was only a Diagnostic. This grade also tells me that I at least have the capability of answering some of the questions correctly and that I understand them. For example, one of the questions asked what the P represented at the beginning of a topology entry. I misunderstood and thought it meant passive since in another question I saw codes in which one of them said "P- Passive" But I learned from my mistakes and also learned something new today.
